Brewer Brother's MEGA Model Kit & Hobby SHOW Jan 21st & 22nd 2012 Yanks Air Museum Chino CA

Wow....We have an Awesome Show planned for January 21st & 22nd 2012, and I am tickled to invite you all to join us once again. That's right, you read it correctly this will be a 2 DAY SHOW!  I have attached the Flyers and Contest Categories for your review. This Show will mark the Brewer Brother's 5th year and "14th Model Kit & Hobby Expo entitled " History, Heros, and Hobbies", and should be the Biggest Show in our Industry in the last 10 years. We are hoping to have an attendance of over 1,000 during the course of the weekend. Here are some of the High-Lights:

 1) 140 Eight ft Vendor Tables Collectibles Show going on both days featuring: Model Airplanes, Ships, Cars, Tanks, Armored Vehicles, Jets, Helicopters, Sci-Fi, Robots, Toy Soldiers, Referrence Books, Military Dvds, Diecast Cars and Aircraft, 1/6 scale Figures, Tanks, and Vehicles, 21st Century Toys 1:18 scale Aircraft and 1/32 scale Aircraft and Armor, Wargamming Miniatures, Militaria, Uniforms, Pins, Patches, WWII Memorabilia, Sports Figures, Aviation Artist Prints, almost all coming out of peoples personal collections with Vendors coming far and wide from 3 different states CA., NV, and AZ.. Great Food Vendors and Refreshment Vendors will be onsite as well for both days.

2) Saturday Jan 21st Special All-Day Event showcasing Americas Heros: WWII thru Modern Veterans Symposium: Veterans from WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Gulf War, and Iraq & Afghanistan will be sharing the experiences in person thru personal stories, Video & Power Point Presentations. Veterans will be accessible for Questions & Answer as well as autograph signings. Veterans include: B-17 Ball Turret Gunner 8th AF WWII, B-24 Navigator WWII South Pacific, Vietnam Huey Gunship Pilot, Vietnam Naval Officer aboard US Destroyer for Mining of HaiPhong Harbor Vietnam, F-4 Phantom Pilot/RIO 163 sorties and POW Vietnam, Apache Gunship Pilot Operation Iraqi Freedom-Enduring Freedom, WWII RAF Halifax Bomber Navigator WWII, USMC 5th Marine Div Iwo Jima survivor, USAF Mosquito Pilot WWII, F-18 Fighter Pilot Gulf War currently based out of China Lake CA., P-51 Mustang Figther Pilot 8th AF WWII, with more still confirming!

3) Major Kids Activities:

  • Model Kit Make-n-Take : Kids of all ages or anyone who hasn't built a model in awhile can sit down with our experienced instructors and pick out a Model Kit: Airplane, Jet, Car, Tank etc, and learn how to build it and then take it home. Cost to participate = Free, Experience shared by parent & child = Priceless!

  • WWII C-47 Skytrain "Jumpmaster Program" Hosted by "82nd Airborne Re-Enactment Group" Kids get to board the historic Plane up by the cockpit, Internal electric fans will be blowing simulating Air-Flow at both ends, Radio will be playing live engine sound recordings simulating Engine Noise, One 82nd Re-enactor will be outside the plane kicking the rear horizontal stabilizer simulating turbulence, while sevral other 82nd Re-Enactors will be shouting out Jump Commands, Kids will "Stand Up" Hook Up" and shuffle to the back ...rear doors will open and the Kids get to jump out of the aircraft onto softbed mattresses....Great Fun while learning History! This Activity will be held at 3 different interval sessions both days of the show.

  • Glider " Fix & Fly", Kids learn to put together Airplane Gliders that they can build and fly themselves!

  • "Slot Car Racing" large Slot car track for Kids and adults to race each other and Cars and Track Systems available for Purchase and future Party rentals

3) Classic and Exotic Car Show/Displayshceduled for both days featuring approximately 30 cars, various clubs will be in attendance

4) Real-Life T-37 "Fighter Trainer" In-Cockpit Flight Simulatiors including 30 minute Flight Breifing and Missions of up to Eight pilots at a time.

5) The latest Military Movies & Documentaries from all over the World will be being showcased on a 52' Widescreen and sold for way below retail prices, some titles include " Yamato" , purely Awesome! Historical Re-Creation of the Worlds Biggest and most powerful WWII Battleship, never before released in America or the UK, "We Die for You" 3 Oscars were recently discovered intact in a Japanese Warehouse and have been put into a visually stunning recreation film depicting the Japanese KAMIKASE squadrons based on Okinawa who attacked the American Fleet...Incredible CGI and real footage! too many new Titles to list...

6) Military Historical Vehicle Displaysand Historical Military Re-Enactment Groups will be present and sharing and teaching History.

7) Sunday January 22nd will feature Large 35+ Category Plastic Model Contest and Display with Awards Presentation

8) 1/6 Scale Figure and Vehicle contest& 1/6 Tank/Military Vehicle Club running their beautifully painted WWII tanks and Armored vehicles
(some in excess of 300lbs!)

10.) 1/96 scale Ships and PT Boats will be on Display and for Sale with Local  RC Clubs represented for membership

11.) RC Helicopter Demos and Salesof latest Flying Models and RC tanks!

12.) Military Historical Wargammingwill be taking place on both days for all to particaipate, WWII and Civil War will be highlights.

13.) ICAP-- Technology Workshops Academy Classes & Aviation Bootcamp Registration and Information booth

14.) Air Brush Training & Demonstrations

My current project Fliege

I haven't built anything in so long I thought better get with something. What better then a classic S.F.3.D Nitto kit.


























Relocating the elbow more forward in the arm gun and extending the front of the arm gun.





Replacing the spring finger hand with a more interesting older 1/144 scale gundam replacement hand from Wave.
























Quick snap together of the shell to see what the pilot looks like in there.




























The tube holes there on the sides will have a couple of missiles barely sticking out there thanks to some old 1/35 resin wine bottles by Verlinden. Also replacing detail that I had sanded off while I was filling the seams


While I was at it I added a couple of handles or brush guards over the front window to give it that deep sea diver look. I just thought it needed something there for protection.
